Doug Baer manages the vPod Architecture team for the Hands-on Labs at VMware. With nearly 30 years in IT, he has held a variety of roles including time served as a vendor, consultant and customer in the realms of education, government, and the private sector.

Doug earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Arizona and holds top-level industry certifications, including VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX #19) and HP’s Master ASE Cloud and Datacenter Architect.

When he is not talking to attendees in the Hands-on labs area at events or preparing new labs for release, Doug likes to get away from technology and spends time hiking with his family or running on roads and trails around Arizona.
