With early exposure to electronics and computing, Jayson Block started applying their trade in Information Technology professionally in 2002. After four years journeying from helpdesk technician to systems engineer, Jayson transitioned into a professional services organization and has since progressed from consultant to architect. During that time, Jayson has been designing or delivering, or supporting the delivery of, what the industry now refers to as transformation; starting with infrastructure modernization and data center consolidation in the enterprise space as early as 2006. Over the years that have followed, Jayson has helped many organizations modernize their infrastructure and business models, designed and built private and public clouds, and help transition legacy applications, workflow, and platforms to new.
While not active in the blog or tech news community at present, Jayson has contributed significantly to capability development and to the delivery readiness of Dell professional services since joining it in 2006. He co-founded the original virtualization community of practice within the consulting organization, and developed much of the original delivery IP. With now nearly-twenty years of proven professional experience in Information Technology, Jayson focuses on solving problems in enterprise architecture, software-defined-everything, and business transformation. Jayson is presently a dual VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) holder, in the Data Center Virtualization and Network Virtualization focus areas. Jayson lives in a rural town in Harford County, MD, with his wife and three sons.
